B7 studs and matching 2H heavy hex nuts
ASTM A193 B7 is a quenched-and-tempered chromium-molybdenum alloy-steel bolting grade widely specified for pressure and elevated-temperature service. ASTM A194 Grade 2H heavy hex nuts are a common companion, and were the nuts supplied with this order.
For a 6-inch stud, mechanical-property acceptance must use the applicable diameter range in the specified ASTM edition. The familiar 125 ksi tensile and 105 ksi yield minima for smaller B7 diameters should not be copied onto a 6-inch specification. The supplied 2H heavy hex nuts complete the threaded assembly. For a repeat or similar order, specify the nut grade, thread, dimensions and quantity per stud together, rather than selecting nuts by thread fit alone. Final suitability for the operating temperature and pressure follows the project engineering specification.

Product identification: EF, B7 and 2H
The end-face close-up shows EF and B7 markings on the studs. The nut photograph shows EF and 2H markings. These physical identifiers help a buyer compare the delivered parts with the ordered manufacturer and grade.
Markings support identification, but they do not by themselves verify chemistry, heat treatment or mechanical properties. For a new order, agree the required material certificates, inspection records and batch-traceability arrangements before production. This case does not claim a specific certificate type or an impact-test result that is not reproduced here.
Plain finish and protective packing
Both components were supplied plain, without a specified hot-dip galvanized or PTFE coating on this order. The visible packaging consists of wooden cases, plastic liners and cushioning material, with studs and nuts arranged in separate cases.
For long, heavy threaded parts, packaging matters because damaged threads can delay assembly. The photos show the packing configuration at the time of filming. Plain alloy steel still requires appropriate protection and storage after delivery; it should not be treated as a corrosion-resistant coated product.
