Blind rivet nuts are internally threaded inserts installed from one side of a thin sheet, tube, panel or enclosure. They create reusable machine-screw threads where tapping is not practical or where the assembly only provides blind-side access. This metric M3-M12 range is available in carbon steel, 10B21 or 35K with Class 8 / Class 10 options, with dimensions controlled by an approved manufacturer or customer drawing.
Correct rivet nut selection depends on thread size, body style, head style, grip range, panel thickness, installation tool, pull-up behavior and corrosion requirement. M3-M12 sizes are commonly used in equipment panels, railway carbody interiors, electrical enclosures, HVAC sheet metal and light structural brackets.
Zinc plated finish is used for general sheet metal assemblies, while zinc nickel is preferred where higher corrosion resistance or automotive-style coating performance is requested. RFQs should confirm open-end or closed-end style, flat head or countersunk head, knurled or smooth body, grip range and mating screw type.
