Wedge anchors are post-installed mechanical expansion anchors for concrete fixing in construction, infrastructure and equipment installation. Carbon steel / 40Cr material options are supplied in 5.8 / 8.8 grade references with M6-M24 size range and zinc plated, hot-dip galvanized or zinc flake finish.
A wedge anchor expands inside a drilled concrete hole when torque is applied to the nut. Correct selection requires concrete strength, cracked or uncracked concrete requirement, embedment depth, edge distance, spacing, fixture thickness, hole diameter, installation torque and approval requirement.
Zinc plated finish is common for indoor and general construction use, HDG supports outdoor corrosion protection with thicker coating, and zinc flake can provide corrosion resistance with controlled coating thickness. Anchor load capacity must be confirmed from approval documents or project design, not from anchor diameter alone.
