Product Description
Custom Aluminum Micro Screws are miniature drawing-based fasteners for compact assemblies where weight reduction, non-magnetic behavior, clean appearance or anodized corrosion protection matters. They are used when a standard steel screw is heavier than necessary or when the assembly requires an aluminum-compatible fastener.
Common material choices include 6061 aluminum for general precision hardware, 7075 aluminum where higher aluminum strength is required and 2024 aluminum when the design specifies an aerospace-style aluminum alloy. Final grade selection should confirm strength, corrosion exposure, anodizing requirement and mating material.
Sizes are typically M1, M1.2, M1.4, M1.6, M2, M2.5 and M3, with miniature pan head, countersunk head, button head, socket head, Torx / six-lobe or custom drive forms reviewed by drawing. Aluminum screws are not direct substitutes for high-strength steel fasteners unless the joint design permits the lower strength and installation torque.
