Product Description

Product Description & Key Specifications

DIN 6921 / ISO 4162 stainless hex flange bolts are supplied in SS304 / SS316 with A2-70 / A4-80 grade options for bracket, clamp and equipment assemblies that benefit from an integrated wide bearing surface. Common range is M5-M16 with passivated finish and OEM flange geometry on request.

The flange head spreads load over a larger bearing area than a standard hex head and can reduce the need for a separate washer in selected assemblies. It does not replace engineering checks for soft materials, slotted holes, high vibration or critical structural joints, where washer and locking requirements should follow the drawing.

SS304 / A2 is suitable for general outdoor equipment, while SS316 / A4 is preferred for coastal, marine and washdown exposure. Serrated or non-serrated flange face, flange diameter, head height and thread length should be confirmed by drawing.

Selection

Selection Advantages by Application

Solar Brackets & Clamp Assemblies

M8 and M10 stainless flange bolts are common for PV clamps, rails and brackets where a wide bearing face is useful. SS316 / A4 is preferred for coastal solar installations.

Renewable energy fasteners

Equipment Panels & Frames

M6, M8 and M10 flange bolts support covers, frame brackets and equipment panels where washer reduction and fast assembly are desired. Confirm serrated or non-serrated flange requirements.

Construction fasteners

Marine Stainless Hardware

SS316 / A4 passivated flange bolts are suitable for selected marine brackets and covers exposed to wet outdoor service. Common RFQ models include M8 x 20, M10 x 30 and M12 x 35.

Marine fasteners

Railway Auxiliary Equipment

M6, M8 and M10 stainless flange bolts can be used for cabinets, covers and non-primary brackets where external hex access and wide bearing support are useful.

FAQ

Common Questions Before RFQ

When should I use a stainless hex flange bolt?

Use a hex flange bolt when the assembly benefits from an integrated wider bearing face and external hex drive access. Confirm whether the flange can replace a washer in your specific joint design.

What is the difference between DIN 6921 and ISO 4162?

DIN 6921 and ISO 4162 are common references for hex flange bolts. Some dimensions and flange details may differ, so the project drawing or required standard should be confirmed before ordering.

Should I choose serrated or non-serrated flange bolts?

Serrated flange bolts can improve resistance to rotation but may mark mating surfaces. Non-serrated flange bolts are preferred where surface marking or coating damage is a concern.

What sizes are commonly requested?

Common RFQ models include M6 x 16, M8 x 20, M8 x 25, M10 x 30 and M12 x 35 stainless flange bolts. Final length, thread length and flange form should follow the drawing.

Is passivation available?

Yes. Passivation is available for SS304 and SS316 stainless hex flange bolts to improve stainless surface condition after forming and threading.
