DIN 127 / ISO 7980 stainless spring washers are supplied in SS304 / SS316 for corrosion-resistant general fastening assemblies where a split spring washer is specified by drawing or bill of material. Common supply range is M3-M24 with passivated finish and project packaging on request.
Spring washers provide light anti-loosening support by adding spring action under the nut or bolt head, but they should not be treated as a universal locking solution for critical vibration, high-preload or safety joints. For demanding service, confirm the locking method with the project standard or engineering drawing.
SS304 / A2 is suitable for general stainless assemblies, while SS316 / A4 is preferred for marine, coastal, washdown and chloride-exposed environments. Spring washers are often supplied together with stainless bolts, hex nuts and flat washers as a complete assembly kit.
