Product Description

Product Description & Key Specifications

Large-flange blind rivets use a head with a greater diameter than a standard dome head. The enlarged bearing area spreads installation and service load over more of the front panel and reduces local stress concentration.

They are commonly selected for thin sheet, plastic, composite panels, signage and light covers. Flange diameter, panel thickness, material stiffness, grip range and pull-through load should be confirmed for the actual joint.

FAQ

Common Questions Before RFQ

When should a large-flange rivet be used?

Use it when the panel is thin or soft, or when the head load needs to be distributed over a larger area.

Will a large flange always prevent plastic damage?

It reduces load concentration, but installation force, hole size and plastic thickness must also be controlled.
