Product Description
EN 14399 heavy hex nuts are supplied for preloaded structural bolting systems used in wind turbine towers, power generation structures, bridge steelwork and heavy steel connections. Material options include 42CrMo4 and 34CrNiMo6, with class 10 or class 12 nut strength selected according to the compatible EN 14399 bolt assembly.
EN 14399 components should be treated as part of a system, not as generic heavy hex nuts. The correct procurement route should confirm bolt type, nut class, washer standard, lubrication condition, hot-dip galvanized finish, k-class or installation requirements, and whether the project requires assembly testing or lot traceability.
Large sizes such as M36, M42, M48, M56 and M64 are common in wind tower flange and heavy structural applications. Hot-dip galvanizing provides outdoor corrosion protection, while thread fit, coating thickness and assembly compatibility must be controlled so the nut works correctly with the selected preloaded bolt system.

Selection
Large EN 14399 class 10 / 12 nuts are used in wind tower flange bolting, often in M36-M64 sizes with hot-dip galvanized finish and strict lot traceability.
Renewable energy fastenersPreloaded structural nuts support heavy energy structures, platforms and equipment steelwork where controlled assembly behavior and coating compatibility are required.
Power generation fastenersEN 14399 nuts can be specified for European preloaded bolting systems in bridges and heavy steel connections. Confirm the complete bolt-nut-washer system before ordering.

FAQ
They are used in preloaded structural bolting systems for wind towers, bridges, power structures and heavy steel connections.
They can be supplied separately, but the bolt, nut, washer, coating and lubrication condition should be confirmed as a compatible EN 14399 assembly.
Common RFQ sizes include M36, M42, M48, M56 and M64, depending on tower flange design and project specification.
HDG provides outdoor corrosion protection for exposed wind tower and heavy steel structures, but thread fit and coating thickness must be controlled.
Yes. Material certificates, coating reports, hardness or proof load reports and assembly traceability documents can be supplied when specified.
Send the EN 14399 system, nut class, size, bolt and washer pairing, HDG requirement, quantity and documentation scope. We can quote large M36-M64 structural nuts for wind tower and heavy steel projects.
