Countersunk blind rivets use a conical head that seats into a prepared countersink to minimize fastener projection above the panel. They suit covers, sliding interfaces, facings and interior panels where a protruding dome head is undesirable.

Flushness and joint strength depend on countersink angle and diameter, panel thickness, hole diameter and grip selection. Very thin sheet may provide reduced bearing area after countersinking, so the joint drawing should be reviewed before supply.
