Product Description
Wedge lock washers are paired anti-loosening washers used in bolted joints exposed to vibration, dynamic load or clamp-load loss. They are supplied to DIN 25201 in carbon steel, compatible with 8.8 / 10.9 bolt assemblies, and finished with zinc flake coating for corrosion protection and controlled coating thickness.
A wedge lock washer pair works differently from a spring washer. The cam faces create a wedge effect while the outer teeth grip the mating surfaces, helping resist rotational loosening when the joint is correctly tightened. The washer pair should be selected by bolt size, surface hardness, bearing surface condition and available clearance.
Common RFQ sizes include M8, M10, M12, M16, M20, M24, M30 and M36. They are used in railway assemblies, construction machinery, steel structures, vibrating equipment and field-installed joints where maintenance access is limited and loosening risk must be reduced.

Selection
Wedge lock washers are used in selected rail equipment, brackets and vibration-loaded bolted joints where anti-loosening performance is required. Confirm approval against the railway project specification.
Railway fastenersM12-M30 zinc flake wedge lock washers are common for heavy equipment guards, brackets, frames and site-installed steel joints that see vibration or repeated service load.
Construction fastenersAnti-loosening washer pairs help reduce maintenance risk on pumps, skids, machinery bases and equipment frames where a standard flat washer does not address loosening concerns.

FAQ
They use paired cam surfaces and outer teeth to create a wedge effect that resists rotational loosening when the bolted joint is properly tightened.
No. Wedge lock washers are paired cam washers for anti-loosening performance, while spring washers rely on spring action and are a different product type.
