Product Description & Key Specifications
Self drilling screws combine a drill point and tapping thread so they can drill through suitable sheet metal and form the mating thread in one installation step. They are used in roofing, cladding, HVAC ducts, electrical enclosures, light steel framing and general sheet metal fabrication.
This range uses C1022 case hardened steel to DIN 7504 / ISO 15480 with ST2.9-ST6.3 size coverage and zinc plated finish. The drill point length, drilling capacity, thread form, head style, drive type and coating must match the sheet thickness and installation speed.
Self drilling screws should not be confused with ordinary self tapping screws. If the hole is not pre-drilled, the drill point selection is critical. RFQs should include material thickness, screw size, length, point type, head style, washer requirement and corrosion requirement.
